Our kids love to go out to eat, and many times associate CASA visits with trips to see a movie, get ice cream/yogurt, McDonald's, Burger King, In-N-Out, Starbucks, etc.

Gas cards are always appreciated, as many times the children we serve live outside of Merced County. Some CASA volunteers must travel as much as 300 miles to visit their child. These gift cards help tremendously with that expense.

Advocates spend lots of time with their CASA children on outings away from the foster homes or group homes. These outings help create a bond of trust, and are an important component of the CASA volunteer's role. The Advocates do this out of the kindness of their heart but also out of their own pocket. Can you help them with these activities? We are always looking for new and exciting things to do with our kids.
Some popular ideas are: Arcade Gift Certificates, Movie Theater Tickets, Miniature Golf Gift Certificates or Theater Show Tickets.

CASA accepts new shoes & clothing in all sizes for our CASA Youth.

CASA youth, like all other children, experience birthdays & holidays each year. CASA accepts new toys and games to help ensure children in our program have a gift when a celebration occurs.

Children in foster care sometimes miss out on traditional experiences like karate classes, joining sports teams or dance classes. If your business or organization would like to donate a scholarship to a youth in our program please contact the CASA office.

Each year there are over 500 children in the Merced County Foster Care System. Many times these children leave their home with only the clothes they are wearing. CASA of Merced County seeks donations to fill backpacks with essential personal items to help ease the pain during this frightful time. These backpacks contain personal items specific to the age of the child, school supplies, a book, toy, etc.
